Do you find developing the big picture for your career or business, thinking strategically, taking action when you need to or keeping ongoing learning alive a challenge? Particularly when you find yourself in the detail of day to day business and personal life?
Over the years, I have myself invested heavily in group study programmes, masterminds, personal and business development programmes and mentors. During this process, I also realised that one of my passions is helping and bringing together authentic, high calibre people who wish to continue to learn and achieve more with their businesses while becoming the best they can be. This includes self employed and small business owners as well as individuals in organisations who want to shine. Or find that next big job! People who realise that there are great career benefits in taking responsibility for their own development rather than just accepting what their companies or even outplacement services may offer them.
I created a programme that supported this desire for ongoing growth, provides an accountability mechanism for making progress and offers people a virtual and occasionally physical board of programme members that can help them to succeed. A board of people who truly care and offer authentic advice.
The Achiever Programme (TAP) has been designed to support the ongoing development of entrepreneurs and corporate leaders within a warm, supportive and challenging group environment. in a cost effective, high value way.
I also recognise that connections are important. I have been very fortunate in building a fabulous network as well as the capability to facilitate this programme. For example, check out the calibre and number of my radio show guests. If I don't know something, I almost certainly know someone who will! By joining this group you are getting access not only to me but also the knowledge and connections of the group.
This programme comes from a genuinely authentic intention to help and pride in the calibre and progress of the very talented people who are currently members.
What does this include?
- Two group telephone conference calls a month (approximately 2 weeks apart). Call lengths are typically 60 to 75 minutes in length.
- Call 1 is an 'Accountability call', where we focus on what has been achieved in the last month, our personal plans for the next month and areas where we might want help or advice from the group. This involves being held accountable by the group for agreed actions increasing delivery.
- Call 2 is a 'Study call' discussing either a book or material relevant to the group needs. On these calls we study materials that will expand our thinking. On several occasions we have even had the authors join us on a call to share their perspectives.
- A recording of each call in case you want to listen again or could not make the call.
- Any required study texts for the programme will be provided and sent to you in advance.
- Small, high calibre groups leading to great new connections.
- Programmes are ongoing ie this is about continuous development rather than a programme with a start and finish. Carefully selected people may therefore join at appropriate points when we begin studying new material rather than half way through.
- A free phone based one hour coaching session per 6 month membership is included and reasonable contact for advise.
- Two optional face to face strategy and development days during the year which are held in Leicestershire, England. January 2012's event involced everyone preparing their business plans for the year and sharing with the group. Each person receiving feedback and lots of ideas. We also did some high value profiling and insights were shared.
- The programme will therefore include some personal preparation for you.
- People also often choose to meet and develop opportunities together. This has even included fitness goals such as half marathon training.
Am I an ideal programme member?
Delegates have significant business experience. Usually, they have operated in senior management or board level positions in corporate businesses or academia and are now either wishing to shift to a new level, are self employed, running an entrepreneurial business or wishing to stand out in a corporate setting and at some point gain a bigger role.
A common bond is that we all share a desire for life long learning and to make the most of ourselves, achieve more and also support and contribute to the progress of others on the programme. People need to be committed to their development and show up as regularly as possible for calls. They need to be prepared to take action and growing themselves to grow their businesses.
The current group includes a former Director of Fitness First and Specsavers turned entrepreneur, the former head of learning and development for Siemens now with her own growing business, a successful IT consultant from Denmark, a senior university lecturer and part time entrepreneur, a quality expert who is now also a partner in a growing retail brand, the Operations Director of a Health care business.
How can I join?
To join the group you must discuss your needs with me first. This means a conversation to understand your requirements and whether the programme is right for you, your development and the other delegates. If there feels a good fit, then you will be invited to trial the programme. Also, you may come from referral from other people in the group who think you would be a great asset to the programme.
What do current members say about their experiences?
I am delighted to make a recommendation for Chris, as the support I have received from him over the last 10 months has been exceptional! Chris came highly recommended, which I can now also endorse. I joined Chris’s TAP programme where he has supported me to develop my vision and strategy with great results. Chris is very authentic and a real entrepreneur, he is intuitive, honest, quickly identifies when your at your best and how to maximise your contribution. I have found Chris to be motivational, but also challenging at the right time. He is extremely personable, with a great network and someone who will maintain a long-term relationship with you. I would recommend Chris to entrepreneurs and corporate leaders for coaching, mentoring, team dynamics, stretching you and your business strategically! Jackie Moody-McNamara - Operations Director - Carewatch UK January 31, 2012 Top qualities: Great Results , Expert
“Chris has and still is, having a profound impact on me personally and in the growth and development of my business. His blend of expertise and huge integrity create a thought provoking and stimulating combination. Chris generates sincere, considered and positively challenging feedback on personal and business development matters that will prove invaluable for any individual, business owner or leader looking to grow.” Steve Robinson, Managing Director Si Training and Consulting
'I am more than pleased to share my experience of the TAP programme. For me it has been an invaluable part of my own learning and development for several reasons. The books that we have studied have always resonated with the place that I have been at that time. To study a book with a group of like minded individuals, all professional and all keen to develop themselves and others has made me read with a depth that I would normally not use. The result being a richness of understanding that I can apply and want to apply, into my business immediately The guests that you have invited to TAP to talk about their journeys have left their own gift with me - one of them being a depth and breadth of stories to illustrate points on my own programmes. And finally, for me the sense of not being alone, in my loft, in pursuit of my own personal success, but being able to feedback and to celebrate successes together. TAP is a fantastic community to belong and a commitment to my own personal success and to that of others. Thank you Chris for having and holding the vision' Carroll Macey, Managing Director CM2C Change Management Consultancy (Nottinghamshire) http://www.cm2c.com. Former Head of Learning and Development at Siemens
