As you progress through the programme please do share any thoughts, questions, experiences that you may have. Also, feel free to share your wisdom on questions from others.

However, if you were unable to get on the programme as it is full. Or if you wish to obtain the book and use the blog posts to help your learning please join us.

    Call 1

So what did we find out last night? Well the book really can provoke discussion! For example the notion of 'getting rich' today can to many of us seem crude or even offensive!

So why is SGR viewed as such an important book? How did it become the source material for the book and film 'The Secret' that has positively inspired millions of people worldwide? Why does it rarely leave the side of some of the most well known people in the personal development industry? People like Bob Proctor, Michael Beckworth and Jack Canfield are all raving fans of some of it's teachings. If you do an internet search you will see the book is almost an industry in itself! Well let's find out and make sense of it in light of business and life in 2011 while being prepared to challenge our own beliefs and assumptions.

From a Be More. Achieve More perspective this experience is about broadening our thinking. Everything first starts in thought. This programme is not about financial wealth and material things at all costs. We are going to talk about some very positive things like balance, making the most of ourselves, purpose, vision and action, collaboration, adding value to others. We are not necessarily all going to agree with everything Mr Wattles had say in 1910, however, it provides us with an interesting platform to work with! Let's see where the discussion takes us!

In the next call we will focus on chapters 2 and 3 ie 'There is A Science of Getting Rich' and 'Is Opportunity Monopolized'. If you missed this week, no problem. For those on the course take a listen to the recording. Also, feel free to chat with me and I'll be happy to help get you up to speed for next week.

    Hi Chris,

I came across these quotes whilst doing a bit of web surfing and I feel that these kind of summarise my thoughts about the SOGR call last week:

'Wealth is not how much money you have. Wealth is what you're left with when you lose all your money. Wealth is permanent money is temporary. Roger Hamilton

'I may have more money than you, but money doesn't make the difference. If there is any difference between you and me, it may simply be that I get up and do what I love to do, every day.'' Warren Buffett

'Your Wealth and fulfilment in life are expressions of your heart, mind and soul. The more the latter are awakened, the more the former may be elevated. The only thing keeping you and money apart are the limiting beliefs you hold about it.'' Dr John Demartini

I look forward to this weeks call.

    Warm Regards,

    Carroll

Hi Madjaliwa, I suggest doing an internet search for the book in your first language. Then if you want to read the blogs as you study it these may help you along, Best wishes Chris

Great quotes Carroll thank you. Yes we are talking about developing our minds, body and soul so that we can create what we want to create in our lives including our businesses. Money is a good thing in the right hands. If you have it then it can be used for Personal comfort as you wish and to add more value in more ways to others through our businesses and charitable deeds. Doing this through following our passion has to be a great way to live.
