Happy New Year! Was 2010 all that you had hoped it to be and
more? I hope so. For most of us it will have been a year with ups
and downs. The key is what you make the ups and downs mean.
Inevitably there will always be some downs. However, what did you
learn from them? Did you see them as very low points or did you
brush yourself down and were grateful for the learning? Many of my
greatest gifts have come from challenging situations. Always, see
challenging times as learning opportunities. Look for the silver
lining.
So what about 2011? Let's set the desire for this to be a
fabulous year! Let's imagine all the good things that can happen to
us this year. Let's programme our minds such that it becomes almost
inevitable that the only way is up!
For me 2010 was a great year. My second son Daniel
was born. What a great way to start the year. On the business front
I learned a lot. I set up some new platforms for the future, many
more people subscribed to my newsletters, visited my sites,
invested in my services and some wrote to me with their
experiences. I met many more wonderful people. Step by step
the vision of adding more value to more people in more ways is
turning into reality. As is earning a good living from sticking my
neck out and following my passion.
However, equally I could look at some of the the set backs,
illness in the family, cash flow pressures earlier in the
year, the high level of energy required to initiate and implement
new ideas and remember the year based on this. In reality it is
what you make things mean that makes the difference.
Yesterday, my wife was out walking with our dog Barney. An
abandoned dog appeared and repeatedly attacked it for over 20
minutes. I had to drive over to them and chase the dog off with a
stick. We were a bit shaken by the experience. The learning? How
much my wife and dog mean to me. Today, I think we are all a bit
closer and Barney is keeping my feet warm. The silver lining.
I wish you a wonderful 2011 and hope Be More. Achieve More brings
you some inspiration, courage and confidence on your journey to
achieve what you want to achieve. We are here to help you on your
entrepreneurial and personal development journey!
