Why do some people become financially wealthy and
others do not? What are some of the most important keys to
wealth?

One of the most significant keys is your VALUES AND
BELIEFS. If you don't have saving and generating income
high up in your values list, then you are unlikely to become
wealthy.
We all have values. These are things that are important to us.
They shape our lives. If your not getting what you want from life,
you should look carefully at your values.
If your top values are about education for example. You may spend
a large proportion of money on educating yourself and your children
(if you have them). If your top values are about enjoying life
today, you will spend your money accordingly. If you believe for
example that the state should provide for you, they you are
unlikely to find employment.
Therefore the way you live is based upon what is most important to
you, which in turn determines where your money goes. Or as some say
where your money flows!
The success of business owners is therefore also linked to their
values. If giving is at the top of their values they might be
attracted to leading non profit making organisations. If it is
about growing a highly profitable business that is likely to be
what they will grow. Their values impact the performance of the
business and nature of organisation.
Whatever is low in your values you will not create. You therefore
may need to concentrate on your lower values and seek to turn them
into higher more important items, if for example income is a
weaknesses. If your business is not performing for example, how
focused are your really in generating income?
Another key to wealth is your LIFE PURPOSE.
Finding out what you love to do in life and focusing on it. When
you do you are more motivated and inspired. This something I relly
enjoy helping people define within my coaching programmes. It is a
very powerful personal experience.
Also if you can link what you really love to do (your purpose) to
creating something that PEOPLE REALLY NEED
AND THEN LEVERAGE IT you are there! This is what
people like Richard Branson, Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey have been
masters at.
I have already mentioned that SAVING IS
IMPORTANT. A disciplined habit of which I have got out of
lately and need to give more attention. The more money you have the
bigger the opportunities. Saving can move from putting money aside
in a jar and eventually grow to large levels of savings and
investments. I actually have a jar on my desk which I put my loose
change into and then change back into savings.
Think about your values and what may be limiting you. Do
what you love and love what you do. Concentrate daily on your
priorities. Be ruthless with your time. Make sure you are dedicated
to doing service to others. Be grateful for what you have
now.
These principles I discuss more within my
Mastermind Programme. Note the 6 month Mastermind is for
entrepreneurs wishing to develop or grow their business and
