What an amazing day. I don't think I will ever forget seeing the
Chilean Miners being freed from the ground this morning. I watched
this with my 4 year old son Matthew and his usual demands for
'boys' programmes turned to fascination as I explained the story to
him. By drawing pictures he was able to understand what was
happening.
It is just so good to watch a story like this unfold and the
great lengths that the rescuers have gone too to save the lives of
these men. Yes, perhaps the mine could have been safer in the first
place but let's rejoice for now. So often we are watching news
about the lengths others go to hurt or kill each other and scandal
and gossip. It can be a welcome break to celebrate the good in
humanity.
I often talk about flooding your mind with empowering
information. Watching the news today, I feel inspired and full of
energy despite a late night at a speaking event. Reading and
watching material each day that is inspiring and keeps you in the
energy of moving forward is important. Continuously reading and
watching negative news programmes impacts your mind in an adverse
way. You can begin to believe the world is a bad place and you are
powerless to do anything. This ultimately affects you mood, your
actions and your results.
So manage what goes into your head. Remember in life that as an
adult YOU DECIDE what you watch, read, how you think, feel and
act. This should not be down to someone else. Take as much control
of this process as you can!
Have a fabulous day and let's take on some of the positive
energy from this great story and go out and achieve some
exceptional things ourselves today!
Be More. Achieve More.
