Amazing Marketing

Friday, January 13, 2012 by Chris Cooper

Firstly, a very happy new year. I hope this year proves to be a tremendous one for you.

Some Reflections on 2011

Last week, I was looking back on 2011 and on the whole it was a good year. The show started,  and we had some fabulous guests breaking channel listener numbers for a new Voice America show. I also faciliated more corporate leadership and team development work and speaking than in previous years and was delighted to see the fabulous progress from people on my Achiever Programme. Well done all of you. So in a year when the economy is supposed to be challenging, I feel we bucked the general trend.

However, life always has its set backs and learning points. For my family, the loss of my Father in Law back in March was very sad. This proved to be one of the more challenging speaches I have done. However, it was fascinating to learn how many people had sich fond memories of how ‘Nogsy' the former maths professor had been so exceptionally well respected for making maths fun and not taking life too seriously! I think it is great to remembered for a contribution you have made. These moments really get you thinking about the contribution you are making and the fact that the clock is ticking!

And our Friday guest Geoff Ramm is someone who is really making the most of himself and truly stands out from the crowd.

Amazing Marketing with guest Geoff Ramm

On Friday, a new series of 'Be More. Achieve More' radio shows began with guest Geoff Ramm on Amazing Marketing. The series will run throughout 2012. It really was Friday 13th in action as we got off to a delayed start. However, it turned out to be a great interview and sowed some interesting thoughts in terms of considering how we can help ourselves and our businesses stand out this year?

Geoff Ramm

Geoff Ramm is an international marketing speaker who travels the world delivering his keynotes and master classes and sharing techniques from his Observational Marketing box. He helps entrepreneurs and companies launch, develop and grow their businesses. He was author of ‘Marketing Takeaway 1 & 2’ and the ‘Ramm in Iran II’ DVD.  In 2011 he was awarded the Fellowship of the Professional Speaking Association and has been awarded 4 consecutive ‘Best Speaker’ awards including the World Advertisement Forum which was voted for by 2,000 entrepreneurs in Tehran, Iran.

So to listen to the Friday show you can access it here from either the Voice America Site or via itunes:

Efficiency Ideas from Mike Pagan Show

Friday, November 11, 2011 by Chris Cooper

I have just finished hosting the show today with Mike Pagan on Efficiency. How much more could you achieve if you really increased your efficiency levels? As Mike explains even 20 minutes less wasted time a day means two more weeks of productivity per year. Some key questions we should ask ourselves following the show are:

1. How much time have you wasted by not being focused during the past week? Mike explains how and why we should all assess our wasted time.

2. Are you or your organisation suffering from the illness of 'Presentism'? The need to stay late just to be seen to be committed? How do we handle this?

3. Are you careful to minimise the drain from atmosphere hoovers who sap your time?

4. How careful are you about selecting your customers so that they are good ones to have? What is your strategy?

5. How do we handle interruptions such as people coming to our desks and interrupting us as well as dealing with excessive emails?

6. How selective are you with the networking groups, associations etc that you join? Are you fully utilising your time with these?

7. How should we be efficient about using social media?

8. How can we improve the productivity of our teams?

Thanks to Mike for being a great guest. To access the show:

Romancing the Customer - Chris Cooper and Angi Egan

Friday, November 04, 2011 by Chris Cooper

Angi Egan author, speaker, consultant (and very nice person) joined me today on my radio show 'Be More. Achieve More' Inspiration for the Entrepreneur show.

We talked about some of the key problems that entrepreneurial people and businesses face when attracting clients, potential employees and suppliers. Also, how the concept of 'Romancing the Customer' came about. It is a metaphor to enable the whole concept of being irresistable to customers to stick. It is about showing customers rather than telling them. About listening and attracting great customers, who are loyal and want to be with you. We are talking about using a high level of emotional intelligence to make a difference.

Here were some key considerations that came from the conversation.

1. Never under value your own talents - this is about making every moment count. Stop thinking about what you are not. Rather focus on who you are and the value you can give.

2. Dare to be different - stand out from the crowd. This might be subtle things like how you end an email, the clothes you wear, adjusting your name eg from Angie to Angi!

3. Targeted Attraction - being very clear on who and who you do not wish to attract.

4. The Good/Grief Monitor - list everything you do and identify what is good for you and your business and what gives you grief. Decide where you should best focus your attention. Angi credited Andy Bounds here.

5. Obvious never is - if it is obvious to you do not be afraid to share it with others as it might be the gem that makes the difference.

If you are interested in becoming very attractive to your customers and generating greater brand loyalty then this free resource is available to help you. The recording will be available from the following link once it has been loaded onto the system by Voice America:

'Purpose' with David Hyner Show Recording

Friday, October 14, 2011 by Chris Cooper

Purpose with David Hyner Radio Show 30th Sept

Friday, September 30, 2011 by Chris Cooper

Today, I am interviewing David Hyner about 'Purpose' on my Voice America Business show.

When it comes down to the key elements of what determines success 'Purpose' is right up there. It is the thing that helps us brush off challenges, make decisions with certainty. People who understand their purpose seem to be really 'nice' people yet they have an inner strength at their core. It drives everything that they do. As David says 'When most people assume that it is money, power and things that they hunt, the truth can be found when we bother to first truly understand ourselves.

Most people can say what they do. However, few can really answer clearly why they are doing it.

In 2010, I attended the 'Professional Speaking Association' annual conference which show cased some of the top international speakers in the industry. There were some wonderful speeches, however, one person from my perspective brought the house down. That person was - speaker, author, BBC Broadcaster, David Hyner.

Join us and find out more about this essential success component and how to discover and live your purpose.

Uniqueness with Ayd Instone

Friday, September 30, 2011 by Chris Cooper

I like Ayd Instone. He is someone who is not afraid to celebrate his uniqueness. On last weeks radio show Ayd even played his unique graphite acoustic guitar and sang live.

The show was all about utilising your uniqueness to help you develop your business. By identifying who you are and turning up the contrast on elements that are of interest to others. Then you can create more interest in who you are and your work.

Ayd helps people then transform their uniqueness into brands and books.

If you missed the show it is available in itunes under the title 'efficiency:

How to set empowering goals radio show

Friday, September 16, 2011 by Chris Cooper

There were so many golden nuggets in today's interview with goal setting expert Brian Mayne and Carroll Macey on 'How to Set Empowering Goals That Transform Results'.

If you are interested in goals and also how to set them, when to review them, who you should and should not share them with then this is going to be very valuable. You will not find more expertise in this area than Brian who for example is the person Tony Robbins turns to when it comes to goal setting training on his platinum programme.

Brian and Carroll also have amazing personal stories and putting into place goal setting has literally transformed their lives.

I would therefore strongly recommend listening to the show. It should be available in the next few hours when it has been downloaded to the show site.

You can access the recording by clicking on the show image below. If you want it on Itunes for your mp3 click below and then go to the down load or itune links.

Access 'Vision and Visualisation' with Movie Actor John E.Regan

Thursday, September 15, 2011 by Chris Cooper

My second 'Inspiration for the Entrepeneurial Mind' show was with Movie Actor, Film Director, Author, Speaker and John E. Regan on 'Vision to Visualisation' and was really enjoyable. John was very generous with sharing many of his top tips on how to create and achieve a compelling life vision.

With a rags to success story, John acted with some of the screen greats such as Sean Connery, Richard Burton, Peter O'Toole and even met Elizabeth Taylor.
